Job Summary

The PGT Science Teacher is responsible for teaching senior secondary students (Classes XI–XII) in accordance with the prescribed curriculum. The role involves delivering concept-based instruction, preparing students for board and competitive examinations, and contributing to the academic growth of the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Science subjects (Physics / Chemistry / Biology) to Classes XI and XII.

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons as per curriculum guidelines.

• Prepare students for Board Examinations and competitive exams (if applicable).

• Conduct practical laboratory sessions and ensure lab safety.

• Develop lesson plans, worksheets, question papers, and study materials.

• Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and projects.

• Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and progress reports.

• Provide academic counseling and doubt-clearing sessions to students.

• Integrate technology and modern teaching aids into classroom instruction.

• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.

• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.

• Uphold school discipline, values, and academic standards.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Science (M.Sc – Physics / Chemistry / Biology).

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is mandatory.

• CTET / State TET qualification preferred (as per school norms).

• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level (preferred).

• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
