Job Description – Mother Teacher

Job Title: Mother Teacher / Primary Teacher

Job Summary:
The Mother Teacher is responsible for the overall academic, emotional, and social development of students in the primary classes. The teacher acts as the main point of contact between students, parents, and the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct age-appropriate lessons as per the school curriculum.
• Teach subjects such as English, Mathematics, EVS, Hindi, and basic General Knowledge.
• Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Monitor students’ academic performance, behavior, attendance, and overall development.
• Develop students’ communication, reading, writing, and social skills.
• Maintain classroom discipline and encourage good manners and values.
• Conduct class activities, projects, storytelling, games, and creative learning activities.
• Identify students who need additional academic or behavioral support.
• Maintain student records, notebooks, assessments, and progress reports.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding students’ progress and concerns.
• Coordinate with other teachers and school management.
• Participate in school functions, meetings, workshops, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

• Graduate in any relevant discipline.
• B.Ed./D.El.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
• CTET/TET qualification preferred, depending on school requirements.
• Prior experience as a primary/mother teacher is preferred.
