Job Title: School Principal

Job Summary

The School Principal is the academic and administrative head of the ICSE school, responsible for providing visionary leadership, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, maintaining discipline, and ensuring compliance with ICSE norms. The Principal works closely with teachers, students, parents, and management to foster a safe, inclusive, and excellence-driven learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

  • Plan, implement, and monitor the ICSE curriculum in line with board guidelines

  • Ensure effective teaching methodologies and continuous academic improvement

  • Supervise lesson planning, assessments, and evaluation processes

  • Promote innovation, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities

Administration & Management

  • Oversee day-to-day school operations and administrative functions

  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and motivate teaching and non-teaching staff

  • Prepare academic calendars, timetables, and duty allocations

  • Ensure optimal utilization of school resources and infrastructure

ICSE Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to ICSE regulations, bylaws, and examination procedures

  • Coordinate with ICSE authorities for registrations, inspections, and examinations

  • Maintain accurate academic and administrative records

Student Welfare & Discipline

  • Foster a safe, disciplined, and student-friendly environment

  • Address student behavioral, academic, and emotional concerns

  • Encourage character building, leadership, and ethical values

Parent & Community Relations

  • Maintain effective communication with parents and stakeholders

  • Conduct parent-teacher meetings and address concerns professionally

  • Represent the school in official meetings, seminars, and public forums

Financial & Strategic Planning

  • Assist management in budget planning and financial oversight

  • Support long-term school development and quality improvement initiatives


Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Education or relevant subject (B.Ed / M.Ed preferred)

  • Minimum 5–10 years of teaching experience, with leadership experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of ICSE curriculum and assessment systems
