Job Title: Waiter / Waitress

Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Supervisor

Job Summary

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking food and beverage orders, serving guests efficiently, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and escort them to their tables

• Present menus and explain food & beverage items

• Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen

• Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly

• Ensure customer satisfaction and handle complaints politely

• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining area, and service stations

• Prepare bills and collect payments

• Follow hygiene, safety, and restaurant policies

• Assist in table setup, clearing, and resetting

Skills & Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Polite, friendly, and customer-focused attitude

• Ability to work in shifts and handle busy hours

• Basic knowledge of food, beverages, and hygiene standards

• Team player with a positive attitude

Educational Qualification

• Minimum: 10th pass (preferred)

• Training in hospitality is an added advantage

Experience

• Freshers or 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant/hotel
