Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and disciplined Hostel Warden to manage hostel operations and ensure the safety, well-being, and discipline of students. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, the ability to handle students empathetically, and experience in residential facility management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily hostel operations and ensure smooth functioning

• Maintain discipline, safety, and security of hostel residents

• Monitor student attendance, entry/exit registers, and hostel rules compliance

• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel premises

• Coordinate with housekeeping, mess, and maintenance staff

• Address student concerns, grievances, and behavioral issues

• Conduct regular room inspections and night rounds

• Enforce hostel policies and institutional regulations

• Handle emergencies, health issues, and coordinate with medical staff when required

• Maintain records related to students, inventory, and facilities

• Report regularly to school/college administration

Required Qualifications

• Graduate / Post-Graduate (any discipline)

• Degree or certification in Education / Social Work / Administration (preferred)

Experience

• 1–5 years of experience as a Hostel Warden / Residential Supervisor

• Experience in school or college hostels preferred

• Retired defense personnel / teachers may also apply

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and discipline management skills

• Ability to handle adolescents with care and firmness

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic computer knowledge for record-keeping

• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

• Ability to stay on campus (for residential roles)
