Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic English Teacher to teach English in a CBSE school. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, developing students’ language and communication skills, and preparing students according to the CBSE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons according to the CBSE curriculum and school guidelines.
• Teach English grammar, literature, reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and teaching materials.
• Conduct classroom activities to improve students’ communication and vocabulary.
• Assess students through tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance.
• Identify learning gaps and provide additional support to students.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication.
• Maintain discipline and create a positive classroom environment.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate student progress.
• Organize English-related activities such as debates, speeches, essay writing, and literary events.
• Collaborate with other teachers and participate in school activities.
• Follow school policies, CBSE academic standards, and professional responsibilities.

Daily Duties

• Take scheduled English classes and maintain classroom discipline.
• Explain lessons using suitable teaching methods and examples.
• Check notebooks, homework, assignments, and projects.
• Conduct quizzes, class tests, and oral activities.
• Provide feedback and remedial support to students.
• Update lesson plans and academic records.
• Communicate with coordinators and parents when required.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in English from a recognized university.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
• Strong knowledge of English grammar and literature.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Knowledge of CBSE curriculum and teaching methodologies.
• Previous experience in a CBSE school is preferred.
