Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Physics Teacher to teach Physics to secondary and senior secondary students. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, developing students’ conceptual understanding, conducting laboratory practicals, preparing students for CBSE examinations, and monitoring their academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective Physics lessons according to the CBSE curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, assignments, and question papers.
Explain complex Physics concepts in a simple and practical manner.
Use activity-based, experimental, and technology-enabled teaching methods.
Conduct and supervise Physics laboratory experiments.
Ensure proper use and safety of laboratory equipment.
Conduct regular tests, quizzes, assignments, and examinations.
Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback.
Monitor students’ academic performance and maintain progress records.
Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial teaching.
Prepare students for CBSE board and school-level examinations.
Support high-performing students with advanced problem-solving and application-based questions.
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Encourage students to participate in science projects, exhibitions, competitions, and Olympiads.
Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic performance when required.
Attend staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and school events.
Coordinate with other subject teachers and the academic department.
Follow school policies, CBSE guidelines, and academic procedures.

Daily Duties

Conduct scheduled Physics classes as per the timetable.
Explain daily topics and solve numerical problems.
Clear students’ doubts and provide individual guidance.
Check homework, classwork, assignments, and practical records.
Conduct demonstrations, experiments, and laboratory activities.
Prepare students for upcoming tests and examinations.
Track attendance, participation, and academic progress.
Update lesson plans, assessment records, and student performance reports.
Prepare digital presentations and other teaching resources.
Maintain classroom discipline and student engagement.

Laboratory Responsibilities

Plan and conduct Physics practical sessions.
Demonstrate experiments and explain scientific principles.
Maintain proper laboratory records and practical files.
Ensure students follow laboratory safety procedures.
Check and maintain Physics laboratory equipment.
Report damaged or missing equipment to the concerned authority.
Guide students in practical projects and investigatory assignments.

Academic & Examination Responsibilities

Prepare question papers according to the prescribed syllabus and examination pattern.
Conduct periodic assessments and revision sessions.
Analyze examination results and identify areas for improvement.
Provide remedial classes where required.
Prepare students for board examinations through revision and practice.
Maintain accurate assessment and academic records.

Qualifications

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Physics from a recognized university.
B.Ed. is preferred/required as per school requirements.
Strong knowledge of the CBSE Physics curriculum.
Relevant teaching experience in a CBSE school is preferred.
Candidates with experience teaching Classes IX–XII will be preferred.

Preferred Experience

Freshers: Candidates with strong subject knowledge and B.Ed. may be considered.
Experienced: 2–5+ years of Physics teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE school.
Experience preparing students for CBSE board examinations will be an advantage.
