Special Education Teacher – Job Description

Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning, developmental, and behavioral needs and help them achieve their academic and social goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Assess students’ learning needs, strengths, and challenges.
• Provide personalized teaching and remedial support.
• Use suitable teaching strategies, learning aids, and assistive tools.
• Monitor and document students’ academic and behavioral progress.
• Collaborate with parents, school counselors, therapists, and regular teachers.
• Promote students’ communication, social, emotional, and life skills.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress reports.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.

Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid RCI registration/certification preferred or required as applicable.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs preferred.
• Good communication, patience, empathy, and classroom-management skills.
