Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Tamil Language Teacher to teach Tamil language and literature, develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills, and promote appreciation of Tamil culture and heritage.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Tamil language, grammar, literature, and composition as per prescribed syllabus

• Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum guidelines

• Improve students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills

• Conduct regular assessments, tests, and examinations

• Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback

• Encourage correct pronunciation, vocabulary development, and handwriting

• Integrate cultural and literary elements into lessons

• Use innovative teaching methods and teaching aids

• Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment

• Communicate student progress with parents and school management

• Participate in academic planning, staff meetings, and training programs

Required Qualifications

• B.A / M.A in Tamil

• B.Ed (mandatory for school teaching roles)

• CTET / TET qualification (preferred, as per board requirements)

Experience

• 1–5 years of teaching experience in Tamil language

• Freshers with strong subject knowledge may apply

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent command over spoken and written Tamil

• Strong classroom management skills

• Clear communication and student-friendly teaching style

• Ability to handle students of different age groups

• Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smart classrooms
